Happy, Happy Teacher's Day

I found this post on A Good Book and a Cup of Tea and thought how appropriate to share it with my fellow teachers today.

I was thinking about the importance of the role of teachers in our society. There are some great teachers out there, passionate teachers who love and enjoy educating others. I truly admire and respect teachers who have a mission to educate and train. They have a vision to not only teach a student today but to lay the foundation for the future generations to come. The following is a famous quote by Amir Kabir (1852) Prime Minister of Iran, under Nasser al-Din Shah Qajar.

He who has a one year goal, plants grain,
if the intent is ten years, then a tree.
He, who has a hundred year intent, educates a person.
Happy Teachers' Day
